Job Purpose and Scope
Assist TWR CEEM ongoing ministry and development
KEY RESULT AREA: Strategic Planning for Assigned Areas
Performance Standards: The job in this area will be satisfactorily performed when:
- A three year plan, updated each year, is made. The three year plan is developed, taking into account TWR’s global priorities and regional goals of the European region. It shows what the goals of the Central East European Ministries are. This plan defines the yearly steps so that the intended progress can easily be monitored.
- Projects like Project Hannah, MemCare, Prison Ministry, etc. are implemented in the three year plan, wherever applicable.
KEY RESULT AREA: Networking with Organizations and Individuals in the Assigned Areas
Performance Standards: The job in this area will be satisfactorily performed when:
- Contacts with other organizations and individuals involved in ministries to the people in the target area are developed and maintained with the ultimate goal of setting up and maintaining national partner organizations or ministry task forces - whatever is appropriate.
- Development plans are made with the national partner organizations and updated on a yearly basis.
- In areas where no partner organization can be established, ministry task forces are set up and maintained if there are no proper functioning partnership existing, which could serve the same purpose.
- Public relations (advertisement, distribution of program schedules, etc) in the target areas is taken care of wherever possible and appropriate.
- In areas where the means (transmitting outlets) available to TWR are not able to reach the intended target audiences, other adequate means are implemented (like cassettes, etc.) wherever appropriate and funds available.
KEY RESULT AREA: Relationship with Cooperating Broadcasters and Supporting National Partners relative to the Assigned Areas
Performance Standards: The job in this area will be satisfactorily performed when:
- The Ministry Assistant of the Central East European Ministries initiates new sponsorship, reinforces current sponsorship, and motivates sponsors on an ongoing basis.
- The current level of sponsorship is maintained and additional sponsors and support for the broadcasts are secured in cooperation and coordination with the respective area agencies.
- Information about the ministry is forwarded regularly through the appropriate channels (area agencies, etc.) so that fund raising on a continuous level is possible for the appropriate departments within TWR and for TWR’s cooperating broadcasters and supporting national partners.
- Fundraising is done wherever possible and appropriate in conjunction with the appropriate departments within TWR and with TWR’s supporting national partners and cooperating broadcasters.
- All TWR’s obligations to broadcast sponsors as it relates to national partners and/or programs producers (individuals and organizations) and follow-up personnel are implemented and carefully monitored (for example, regular reporting, etc.).
KEY RESULT AREA: Program Production and Follow-up relative to the Assigned Areas
Performance Standards: This job in this area will be satisfactorily performed when:
- Programs are developed whenever possible, which meet the identified needs of the audience.
- The programs are produced according to specifications of the sponsoring organizations.
- The programs meet TWR’s program content guidelines and build up the Body of Christ.
- Spiritual encouragement and training on a regular basis is offered to those directly involved in program production and follow-up.
- Adequate follow-up is set up, which will lead the listeners - whenever possible - ultimately to a local Body of Christ.
- The studio operation is carried out on an ongoing basis.
KEY RESULT AREA: Specific Goals for the Year 2007
Performance Standards: The job in this area will be satisfactorily performed when:
(To be completed when a person is located. Specifics will be determined first by gifting of the person and secondly by the needs of the region at that time.)
Reports:
- Monthly written report as specified by the CEEM director.
- Quarterly and semi-annual reports to supporters and supporting churches.
- Special reports on trips or other non-regular events are made within one week of the return or of the end of the event.
- Exact dates and destinations of planned absences (business trips, etc) have to be provided to the CEEM director and staff of the department prior to absence.

Minimum Qualifications
- Training or education in missions, theology, cross-cultural communication, massmedia, journalism, linguistics,
- Some knowledge of financial management
- Experience in e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent knowledge of written and oral English language
Desirable Qualifications
- driving license
- second or third language skill
- mission experience in Eastern Europe
- experience in radio/media production
Physical Demands
- Age is open, but must be old enough to command respect from Pastors and other church leaders as well as current Partner Directors and board members, who tend to be middle-aged or older.
- Some language skills will be helpful, especially for travel to different countries
- Travel to countries to meet with National Partners will be required, averaging no less than one trip per month (usually involving 2-3 days including a weekend).
- Travel requirements could at times reach 100 days per year. Not afraid to travel alone; a workable faith in God’s protection
- Location of home base will be in Central Eastern Europe
- Some physical fitness is required for the travel and carrying of equipment
Mission Requirements
- Commitment to TWR’s Mission Statement, strategic direction, Core Values, and Statement of Faith
- Be an active member in an evangelical church
- A sense of calling to enable others to fulfill their calling and ministry
- Acceptance as missionary by one of TWR's approved sending agencies. Acceptance process would include assessments of applicant psychologically and spiritually and agreement with TWR "Statement of Faith", etc.
- Be able to raise and maintain personal support, if required by sending agency.
- Work toward fulfilling of the CEEM Department
Statement of Purpose
To develop and coordinate the Central East European Ministries of and within TWR so that an effective ministry to the people of that ministry area is established and maintained.

To help develop national teams that focus on:
- Spiritual Growth in the church
- Modeling the message of God’s Word in their daily lives
- Making radio programs that draw people to Christ and promote spiritual growth in the listeners.
