Executive Director of MemCare by Radio
Validity

Responsibilities
- Produce quality programs ready for airing, keeping the purity and integrity of the philosophical concept of the program
- Write articles for the Internet and print media
- Develop new resources and contacts for the program
- Coordinate in the production of the MemCare by Radio (MBCR) program
- Assist in the development of program production and content guidelines manual for MCBR.
Key Result Area: Work
- Assist in the planning and the development of MCBR by working with Executive Director and the Global Member Care team
- Produce programs in compliance with TWR’s program content guidelines and in consideration of the MCBR audience
- Meet the deadlines set concerning the radio program
- Write articles as needed for the Internet and print media
Key Result Area: Networking
- Network with organizations willing to cooperate in providing program resources in relation to program content as well as finances for MemCare by Radio
- Stimulate the coordination between the producers and respective contributors
- Network with mission leaders, Bible colleges, TWR Partners and Member Care organizations in the various regions with the objective to facilitate partnerships for MemCare by Radio
Key Result Area: Research & Training
- Develop relevant programming based on research (interviews, articles, Scripture, etc)
- Coordinate with the Training Department of TWR to meet the particular training needs of the MCBR program contributors
Key Result Area: Strategy
- Assist the Executive Director with script and program evaluation for materials which have been suggested for possible use
- Assist in planning for a year of all MCBR programs by working with Executive Director and Member Care core group
Special Remarks
- Due to the sensitivity of the work, total confidentiality is required
- Knowledge of audio editing software (audition or wavelab) is of advantage
- Experience in missions is preferable
- Able to communicate in English is essential
Candidate specifications
- Highly developed and professional oral and written English skills
- Training in radio program production and script writing
- Experience in cross-cultural living outside of homeland
- Computer skills: ability to use word processing and e-mail programs
- Knowledge of audio editing software (audition or wavelab) is of an advantage
- Ability to express thoughts with flexible and broad knowledge of subject
- Ability to plan and organize work well, to delegate work where necessary and possible
- Function and work successfully (as well as demonstrate Christian love) in cross-cultural situations
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Sense of calling to Trans World Radio and MemCare by Radio
- Team player with "service attitude" and flexibility in regard to work demands
- High degree of self-identification with the necessary work is expected due to deep personal conviction of the validity of the project
- Active member in an evangelical church
- Willingness to learn German is desirable
- Family able to adapt to life in Europe (schools, church, etc)
- Ability to work with and appreciate people from numerous cultures and evangelical backgrounds
- Ability to maintain total confidentiality due to sensitivity of the work
- Acceptance as missionary by one of TWR's approved sending agencies. Acceptance process would include assessments of applicant psychologically and spiritually, including Bible knowledge, cross-cultural adjustment abilities and agreement with TWR's statement of faith, etc.
- Be able to raise and maintain personal support, if required by sending agency.
