TWR’s Radio Church Kit project continues to benefit thousands of Chinese believers, enabling them to receive the spiritual nourishment they desperately need. These kits are especially vital in rural areas where spiritual resources are sorely lacking.

A Radio Church Kit (RCK) consists of one shortwave radio set, a Life Application Bible, books of Self-Confrontation and Discipleship on the Air, a program schedule and two corresponding programs aired 30 minutes per day, five days per week from TWR’s shortwave station on the island of Guam. These materials and programs have become important training resources in the daily spiritual growth of Chinese believers. By the end of June 2007, TWR’s Chinese team assembled and distributed 2,600 RCKs. Throughout the rest of 2007, they plan to distribute an additional 6,400. The total number of kits distributed since the project began several years ago is more than 75,000.

Because many house church leaders and lay coworkers within 23 provinces in China still lack resources, TWR’s Chinese team plans to expand its outreach to more areas. Letters and personal testimonies, like the one below, have demonstrated the impact the RCKs are having on leaders in China.

“There are lots of members in our church, but most of them neither knew God clearly nor wanted to serve Him. But things have been different since 2006. We have received much grace from God through the Radio Church Kits. We merely delivered the material of [the kit to some members]. Unexpectedly, in three short months, all of them have grown. Their faith has changed from shallow to deep willingness to offer their lives to Jesus Christ; from the great gap between their religion and life to the good witness of living for God; from explaining the Scripture by their own interpretation to correctly handling the Word of Truth. Many others who are willing to seek and serve God observe the change, and they request to join in learning from the Radio Church Kit, too. We received another batch of RCK material, so a lot of members, especially the youth, started studying the courses.

“No matter where the students are, they would like to listen to the programs instead of working. They take notes, write feedback and exchange what they have learned. For more than one year, their beliefs have become stronger and their spiritual lives more mature. In addition, our church has increased by more than 100. Lots of Christians have become enthusiastic ministers and more and more people have become Christians. More of them would like to join us to learn from the Radio Church Kits. The other churches in our neighborhood got to know that the remarkable renewal of our church is from the RCK [material], and they show interest in learning from the Radio Church Kit.
