TWR experienced an outpouring of God’s blessing regarding its European funding crisis, and is grateful for the concern donors have shown for the broadcasts that touch thousands in Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.

“By the time I left the war zone, my house was swept clean by looters,” reveals a survivor of the Kenya conflict. “After the commotion, someone occupied my house. I cannot go back for fear of my life. Tension is too high.”

More than 40 percent of the urban population of Latin America lives in the region’s 50 cities that exceed 1 million. TWR’s City Lights project provides Christian programs to adults, youth and children living in such megacities.

Lack of a quality education, poverty and child labor are some of the dire issues faced by Indian children. They especially experience India’s hardships. A program addressing these issues can bring hope to their lives.

Although TWR-Poland does not have a specific prison ministry broadcast, a large number of its listeners are current or former prisoners. Follow-up with them is an important part of TWR-Poland’s outreach.

TWR is extending its reach across the African continent. A new studio in Mozambique and broadcasting on FM stations in Kenya are just two of the ways God is enabling the Mission to proclaim His Word in the region.

For the month of December, TWR-India plans special Christmas programs and activities around the country. The holiday season provides the perfect opportunity to share the good news with those who might not otherwise hear it.

“Peace be with you, listening friends. We greet you in the name of God, who wants everyone to understand the way of righteousness, and have true peace with Him forever.” So begins TWR’s program in the African Mooré language.

Sitting in the police car, filled with guilt, the 55-year-old Albanian woman heard TWR’s <em>Women of Hope</em> program. She felt the words about God’s love were just for her. “Would you forgive me for what I have done?” she asked God.

Sadly, millions in China are pursuing paths of destruction because they don’t know the truth. TWR’s broadcasts, however, are making a difference in the lives of Chinese people—and have been for 30 years.

Trans World Radio continues to proclaim God’s Word across the continents, and its Project Samuel programming is bringing the wonder of Jesus to children in Africa.

It wasn’t the kind of life he would have chosen, but poverty and a lack of work drove Sarath to befriend the wrong kind of people. Because of their influence, he fought with and robbed many others. Eventually, his deeds caught up with him.

The skinny Mennonite man, dressed in overalls and a Mexican hat, entered the radio station. His teeth were yellowed from chewing the coca drug. His cheeks bulged, his mouth loaded with coca leaves.

For more than 50 years, God has touched thousands of lives around the world through TWR’s broadcasts. <em>Insight for Living</em>, the teaching ministry of Chuck Swindoll, is one of those programs He is using to change lives.

Today’s Filipino youth need to share their problems with someone who cares. TWR’s <em>Absolutely 24/7</em> program aims to help them hear the gospel in a relevant way and get them involved in a local church.

For the many Nivacle people of Paraguay who are nonliterate, life is difficult and the opportunity to hear the gospel quite limited. But TWR is reaching out to them over the airwaves.

TWR’s Radio Church Kits continue to benefit thousands of Chinese believers, enabling them to receive the spiritual nourishment they desperately need. These kits are especially vital in rural areas where resources are sorely lacking.

Millions of Thai women feel worthless because they do not have the opportunity to better their lives. Few experience a caring environment. That’s why Project Hannah is committed to sharing Christ’s compassion with them.
